From the Cancun Caribe Park Royal Grand walk over to Cancun’s excellent shopping center and discover places like Kukulcan mall, Flamingo mall, Forum mall, Coral Negro market, and Caracol mall.

Souvenirs and bargains abound as you stroll through the stores in the heart of Cancun’s hotel district. Whether you are looking for a new designer outfit for yourself or a gift to take home to your loved ones, you’ll find it here.

Kukulcan Plaza & Luxury Avenue

Kukulcan Plaza & Luxury Avenue are adjacent to each other in the Hotel Zone. Between them they boast more than 250 shops and boutiques selling world famous brands in exclusive and luxurious surroundings.

You’ll discover many specialty restaurants, bars, and cafes, and if you are looking for something fun to do, there’s even a bowling alley.

Plaza Caracol

Situated just north of the Cancun Convention Center, Plaza Caracol features over 200 shops and boutiques. Enjoy the great choice of restaurants and cafes when it’s time to refresh and recharge.

Plaza Las Americas

Located in downtown Cancun, Plaza Las Americas features three large department stores and over 50 specialty shops selling fashion, books, and sportswear. There are also two fantastic movie theatres here showing movies in English and Spanish and a nice choice of restaurants.

Market 28

This huge flea market is situated in the heart of downtown Cancun. It is a fun place to buy your souvenirs, Mexican handcrafts, and silver jewelry at half the price of what you spend in the Hotel Zone.

Next door you will find Plaza Bonita, built to resemble a small Mexican village, with colorful architecture and shops selling good quality Mexican handcrafts and art.

Golf

Cancun golf courses are every golfer’s dream! Aside from the fact that they are in the most beautiful settings imaginable, the golf courses in Cancun and Riviera Maya meet the highest standards set by professional golf tournaments and expert golfers.

The most popular is Cancun Golf Club at Pok Ta Pok located 5 km from Cancun Caribe Park Royal Grand. Here, golfers have the good fortune of finding a temple isolated in the rolling lawns. Designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr. in 1976, this course is considered a leader in golf in this region; playing a round of golf on this course is a must.

Ecological and Natural Parks

Cancun and the Mayan Riviera are home to the most amazing ecological parks in the world. There are very few places on earth where can you find the richness and diversity that nature has freely provided here.

There are several outdoor parks for you to enjoy, including the Xcaret Ecological Park, Garrafon natural reef park, and the Interactive Aquarium where you can swim with dolphins. Nizuc water park is near the hotel zone or visit Xel-Ha water theme park on the Mayan Riviera.

Garrafón

The natural park Garrafón is located in Isla Mujeres and you’ll be surprised by its natural beauty and fascinating adventures, in and out of the water. Garrafón is a tropical paradise only 25 minutes away from Cancun by boat.

Xplor

This unique underground world will awaken and heighten your emotions and senses as you immerse yourself in nature. Sixty-five million years ago a massive asteroid struck the Yucatan peninsula resulting in amazing changes to the earth.

The crater left behind by the asteroid has been eroded over time by rain, sculpting the terrain into miraculous underground caverns.

Xcaret

Visitors to Cancun cannot skip Xcaret in the heart of the Riviera Maya and only 45 miles/72 km from the Park Royal Cancun. Experience the beauty of Mexico’s flora, fauna, culture and traditions at Xcaret where countless attractions and activities are available such as Snuba, Sea Trek, and interactive swimming with sharks and dolphins.

Xel-Há

Visit one of the world’s most uniquely beautiful natural aquariums, where you can swim and snorkel amongst hundreds of multicolored fish that have made the inlet and the river their home. Xel-Ha means, in the language of the Maya, ''Where the water is born.” This natural aquarium is only 76 miles/122 Km from the hotel.

Cancun archaeological sites

El Meco

Located 30 minutes from the Park Royal Grand, El Meco is the location of El Castillo (The Castle), a pyramid with fans encrusted in its facades. El Meco was a strategic commercial enclave until the arrival of the Spaniards and the fan is a symbol of commerce.

El Rey

6 km from the Park Royal Grand, between the ocean and the lagoon, the monuments of El Rey (The King) were erected, apparently, upon the only paved roadway. The facades still retain vestiges of brightly colored mural paintings. The zone today is home to a multitude of placid iguanas.

Ancient Ruins

Take a tour of the Mayan ruins of Tulúm, Coba, or Chichen-Itza and be amazed at what earlier cultures left behind.

Tulum

Sitting on the edge of a cliff-facing, looking out over the vast turquoise ocean, it’s no wonder Tulum is one of the most-visited Mayan ruins in Mexico. Located 81 miles/130 km south of Cancun on the east coast of the Yucatan Peninsula, it truly is one of the most magical places on Earth.

Tulum is formerly known by the name Zama, which means City of Dawn.

Chichen Itza & the Pyramid of Kukulcan

This World Heritage Site located in the Yucatan Peninsula about 111 miles/179 km west of Cancun was named last year as one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. This is of little surprise as its size, symmetry, and astrological importance are a testament to the Mayan civilization.

There are many tours offered which stop at the beautiful colonial city of Valladolid where you will also get to see some of the cenotes for which this area is famous. A visit to this grandiose Mayan city is a must for anyone traveling to Cancun.

Coba

This ancient Mayan city in the state of Quintana Roo is located 172 km from Cancun and about 90 km from Chichen Itza. Enveloped in the deep green of the tropical jungle, it rises up between two lagoons. In its era of splendor, the site extended over 75 sq. km.
