Park Royal Ixtapa offers an entertainment and activities program for adults, including a bicycle tour, yoga and snorkel lessons (in the pool). We provide a separate program for kids where they will make handcrafts, a friendship bracelet, make their own cookie, take a tour to the Dolphinarium, build sand castles, and more. Both programs change very 15 days and for the entire family we have planned theme nights including Karaoke, Casino Night, Disco Night, Crazy Games and lots more fun.

El Italiano Restaurant

Ixtapa is a state of the art tourist facility boasting a host of large and medium sized hotels, condos, dozens of restaurants, discos, live entertainment, shopping, two top line Golf courses and numerous tennis facilities.
Ixtapa In addition to fabulous sport fishing and magnificent tennis courts, Ixtapa has commercial centers with boutiques and restaurants, beautiful plazas and gardens. Try hotel hopping for a pleasant interlude. Walk along the beach from hotel to hotel enjoying their bars, swimming pools and the distinct ambience of each one. Take a small outboard motorboat to Las Gatas Beach, a super site for diving and snorkeling.

Top 5 things to buy
Amber
Semi-precious stones and amber are commonly used in the making of much of this beautiful jewelry. Modern designs are found side-by-side with timeless Mexican styles. Of course the prices aren't as good as in Taxco, but good deals abound.
Ceramics
Vibrant colors leap from everywhere you look, and you can't help but marvel at the wonderful festive scenes and imaginative designs, which adorn their works. Landscapes and vistas, village festivities and country scenes, flora and fauna all come together to tell stories about the people and their culture.
Clay masks
Popular subjects performed with masks include reenactment of the Spanish Conquest, religious tales, and dramas that include animals and supernatural figures. Carved and painted wood is the most common material used. Masks are also made from leather, papier-mâché, clay, cloth, and cardboard, wire mesh, gourds, and wax.
Silver
Stunning silver from Taxco, Guerrero, the silver capital of the world, is for sale at many of the stalls in the Mercado. You'll find all types of jewelry and wares made with Mexico's finest silver. Be sure to check for the stamp, which shows the quality of the silver. If it doesn't have a stamp it's probably alpaca, a cheap silver look-alike.
Wood sculptures
The State of Guerrero is home to several craft traditions of our country, including ceramic, carved hard wood fish sculptures, colorful wooden or clay ceremonial masks, paintings on tree bark, handcrafted decorated boxes and the world famous hammocks, and you will find them at many local shops.
Ixtapa-Zihuataenjo beaches
Costa Grande Archeological Museum
The Museum is located in Zihuatanejo at the east end of the Paseo del Pescador facing the town beach. Surrounding a central patio, six exhibit rooms illustrate human evolution from prehistoric to pre-Hispanic eras, according to findings from 54 archeological sites and settlements discovered nearby and elsewhere along the Costa Grande. A remarkable array of artifacts, utensils, stone carvings, jewelry, and figurines of ceramic, clay, seashells and obsidian, as well as illustrative murals and maps, attests to Olmec, Teotihuacan, Tarascan and Mexica (Aztec) presence and influences in this coastal region. Open 10 am to 6 pm daily except Mondays.

Refugio Potosí
The Refugio de Potosi is a wildlife park, a shelter for hurt, abandoned and mistreated animals, many of which are rehabilitated and released again into the wild, and a research and breeding center for indigenous and endangered species of the Ixtapa Zihuatanejo area. The Refuge boasts the largest skeleton in the world of a display.

Golf
If you like playing golf, just a short distance from Park Royal Ixtapa are two professional 18-hole golf courses - La Marina and Palma Real Golf Course. In front of Park Royal Ixtapa is a cycling road perfect for an afternoon ride with the family. Just 15 minutes away from the resort is the Aztlán Park ecological zone with more than 300 different species of protected birds.

Magic World Aquatic Park
Magic World is an aquatic park located in the heart of Ixtapa offering visitors a unique design and exceptional facilities, as the design is based on a Walt Disney style providing fun for kids of all ages. Among the park's features and attractions are a pirates village, with navigable canals, high and low speed water toboggans, Jacuzzis, and a wave pool. Hours: 10:30 am to 5:30 pm Monday through Sunday.

Zip Line Tours
Adventure Park offers a high-energy adventure for athletic adults. Here you can climb up through the trees along several cables lines; you will be going across swaying bridges, tightropes and other obstacles, but don't worry you'll always be attached to an overhead cable Zip Line. Included are 11 zip lines a canopy hanging bridge and a monkey bridge. Closed shoes are recommended.

Delfiniti Ixtapa
If you ever wanted to swim with dolphins, learn about their behavior and intelligence (there’s no doubt they are the brightest sea mammal), Delfiniti Ixtapa is THE place. Here you can interact with these precious species like you never imagines. These amazing marine mammals enjoy being with people so much they will allow you to give them a heart-warming hug.

La Madera, La Ropa and Las Gatas in Zihuatanejo are great for swimming, where as Playa Linda and Playa Quieta in Ixtapa are open sea beaches with tall waves. Don’t forget to visit Varadero and Coral beaches of quiet waters in Ixtapa Island.
