What outdoor activities are available?

In addition to our ocean front swimming pool, you can sail, jet ski, snorkel, fish, and dive in some of the beaches of Ixtapa. Play a round of golf at La Marina or Palma Real 18-hole golf course. Go shopping at the commercial center Los Patios or buy Mexican handcrafts at the handcraft market. If you prefer nightlife, Los Patios has many nightclubs where you’ll find disco music, salsa, or live music.

Explore the natural beauty of the area on a local four-wheel drive vehicle (ATV) tour, visit the Playa Linda beach crocodile mangrove reserve where, in addition to crocodiles, you will see turtles, iguanas, and exotic birds.

Are there restaurants at the hotel?

Park Royal Ixtapa ensures that you will never go hungry with its many fine dining experiences. "La Veranda" Restaurant offers Mexican and International buffets; "El Pescador" serves a lunch seafood buffet or a la carte with an ocean view; "El Italiano" offers a la carte Italian cuisine in the evenings; and any time you’re craving a tasty snack, Snack Bar El Jardin, will satisfy you.

I like to stay in shape on vacation. Is there a gym?

Our Fitness Center is available for guest use as courtesy of the hotel. You can play volleyball or football on the beach or take a yoga class. In front of the Park Royal Ixtapa is the first section of the 8-kilometer/5-mile cycling road, where you can cycle, jog, and roller-skate. Take a walk outside and enjoy some bird watching and nature appreciation any time. There is also outdoor massage service at the beach for your relaxation.

What can I do with my kids on this trip?

A selection of activities and entertainment programs, including games and contests, are planned for our guests and children are welcome. Besides swimming and the beach, nearby attractions offer water sports your children will enjoy. Your children will also make friends and enjoy the activities in the Kids’ Club (ages 5-12). Some of the activities include handcrafts, sand castles, Dolphinarium tour, water balloon fight, friendship bracelet, and making their own cookie. Or take the whole family on a bicycle tour.
