Things to do in Buenos Aires: A guide to exploring the Argentine capital

Things to do in Buenos Aires: A guide to exploring the Argentine capital

Buenos Aires, the capital of Argentina, is a city that offers endless opportunities to learn, explore and enjoy. It is not just a tourist destination but it is a place full of art, history, culture and an urban life that will leave you surprised. It doesn't matter if it's your first time in the city or you're repeating, Buenos Aires will always have something new to give you. In this guide, we will show you the best-known places and some less explored, so that you can have an unforgettable experience in the city.

Recoleta: The aristocratic heart of Buenos Aires

Buenos Aires is one of the most representative neighborhoods of Buenos Aires, its fame is due to its elegance and rich history. In this neighborhood you can see some of the most impressive buildings, monuments and museums in the city. This area is surrounded by parks and squares that invite you to explore the neighborhood on foot. In Recoleta you can see everything from tree-lined avenues to houses that recall the European style. All this aura is what makes Recoleta a place full of corners that attracts both locals and tourists.

Recoleta Cemetery: a trip to the past

The Recoleta Cemetery is one of the places that cannot be overlooked when visiting the city. This place is not only famous for being the resting place of great historical figures but also for its impressive sculptures and mausoleums.

Walking through the Recoleta Cemetery will give you the feeling of visiting an open-air museum, it is made up of thousands of vaults, many of which have been designed by prominent architects, and declared a National Historical Monument. It is worth mentioning that you can access guided tours where some focus on the mysteries and legends that surround the cemetery, which will surely give an extra touch of intrigue to your experience.

We advise those who intend to visit the Recoleta Cemetery to plan their visit well, since it is a large cemetery, it covers more than 5 hectares. Therefore, it is advisable to prioritize the most famous and architecturally striking vaults, such as the vault of the famous Eva Perón.

a cemetery with a cross on top of one of the buildings

Basilica Nuestra Señora del Pilar: A colonial jewel

In front of the Recoleta Cemetery is the Basilica of Nuestra Señora del Pilar. It is one of the oldest churches in the city, it was built in 1732. The basilica represents a haven of peace in the midst of the bustle of the city and its history is linked to the development of Recoleta. We recommend visiting the Basilica of Nuestra Señora del Pilar to all art lovers as they will have the opportunity to discover its peculiar characteristics, such as its colonial baroque style that develops a simple but elegant façade. On the other hand, its interior is not far behind as it is full of details, such as its vaulted ceiling and its golden altars.

We must mention that the basilica has a small museum inside it, which exhibits objects from the colonial era such as different clothing, religious relics and works of art from the 18th century.

Recoleta Cultural Center: Where art and culture meet

For all those who enjoy contemporary art, it is a must to visit the Recoleta Cultural Center. The center is known for its innovative exhibitions, art exhibitions, workshops and cultural events. Throughout the year, activities are organized for all tastes: from visual art exhibitions to music and film festivals. The interesting thing about the Recoleta Cultural Center is that it always brings new things, so each visit offers something new.

San Telmo: The bohemian soul of Buenos Aires

San Telmo is known for being the neighborhood where you can breathe the bohemian spirit of the city. This neighborhood is characteristic for its colonial architecture, its cobblestone streets and a unique artistic scene. If you want to discover the authentic charm of Buenos Aires, we recommend that you get lost in the streets of San Telmo.

San Telmo Market: A feast for the senses

The San Telmo Market is one of the oldest markets in the city, and although many visit it for its food stalls, the market is much more than that. Here, in addition to trying local cuisine, such as empanadas or choripanes, you can also see a fascinating collection of antiques and fascinating objects.

Every Sunday, the San Telmo antiques fair takes place in the market, where vendors sell antique products such as books or vinyl records. Apart from the fair, on weekends the market organizes tango shows, where you can see couples dancing between the aisles, it is an incredible opportunity to immerse yourself in this culture.

Plaza Dorrego: The heart of tango

Plaza Dorrego is located near the market that has been described above, in fact several of the events that have been mentioned take place in the two places due to their proximity. The square is one of the oldest in the city and one of the main points of San Telmo. The most interesting thing happens at night, when the square becomes an open-air dance floor. The milongas organized here are free, and both locals and tourists join in to dance or simply enjoy the show.

But San Telmo is not limited to tango. Around the square, you will find bars and restaurants that offer live music, making this neighborhood a cultural epicenter that never sleeps.

Palermo: The neighborhood of the avant-garde and nature

Palermo is the largest neighborhood in the city of Buenos Aires, it is divided into several areas and each of these has a different character. Although what we can emphasize about Palermo in general is that it enjoys a modern atmosphere and its large green spaces, we can see this in its urban architecture.

Palermo Soho: The epicenter of design and fashion

Palermo Soho is the creative heart of Buenos Aires. Here you will find independent designer shops, art galleries, trendy cafes and innovative restaurants. What distinguishes Palermo Soho is its youthful and artistic spirit. The streets are filled with murals and street art, giving the neighborhood a colorful, bohemian vibe.

On weekends, Palermo Soho organizes design fairs, where young creators sell their handcrafted products, such as clothing, accessories and home decor. It is a perfect place to find something unique and original. Additionally, many of the restaurants in this area offer signature cuisine menus, making it ideal for foodies looking to try something new.

Palermo Hollywood: Where entertainment doesn't happen

The name Palermo Hollywood is due to the number of film and television production companies that settled in this area of the capital; over time it has become one of the quintessential places for nightlife in Buenos Aires. A wide range of restaurants, bars and nightclubs stands out.

This place is recommended for all nightlife lovers, where they can enjoy the Buenos Aires night. It also offers a wide variety of gastronomic options ranging from international cuisine to Argentine grills. During the day, Palermo Hollywood is an ideal place to walk and discover its shops and cafes.

Culture and history in the center of Buenos Aires

The center of Buenos Aires is the heart of the city. It is where some of the most important monuments are located, as well as world-renowned theaters and museums.

Teatro Colón Buenos Aires: A temple of opera

The Teatro Colón is one of the most famous opera houses in the world. Its acoustics are considered one of the best, making it an ideal place to enjoy a concert or ballet performance. But even if you're not a fan of opera, this theater is worth taking a guided tour. The tours take you through its impressive halls, decorated with marble and gold details, and tell you about the history of the theater and its importance in the cultural life of the city.

Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA): Contemporary art at its finest

The Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA) is one of the most important museums in the region. Its permanent collection includes works by iconic artists such as Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera, but what makes MALBA truly interesting is its schedule of temporary exhibitions, which always bring the best of contemporary art to the city. Furthermore, the museum building is a work of art in itself, with modern architecture that contrasts with the traditional buildings of the neighborhood.

Obelisk of Buenos Aires: The icon of the city

The Obelisk of Buenos Aires is one of the most recognized monuments in the city. Located on Avenida 9 de Julio, it is the perfect place to start exploring the city center. Although it is a typical place for tourists, the Obelisk has historical and cultural importance for the people of Buenos Aires, as it has been a place of great importance for events and celebrations over the years.

Furthermore, right in front of the Obelisk, you can walk along the famous Corrientes Avenue, known as "the street that never sleeps", due to the large number of theaters, bookstores, cafes and traditional pizzerias that you will find along its route.

Experience a tradition: the celebration of the Virgin of Guadalupe in Puerto Vallarta

Experience a tradition: the celebration of the Virgin of Guadalupe in Puerto Vallarta

Puerto Vallarta is a destination that not only impresses with its landscapes and beaches but also with its deep connection to Mexican traditions. Puerto Vallarta has a strong aura of tradition, evident in the celebration of the feast of the Virgin of Guadalupe, one of the most important events where locals and visitors gather to honor Mexico’s patron saint, in a celebration full of devotion, colors, and music. This festivity takes place from December 1 to 12 and Puerto Vallarta becomes the epicenter of one of the most significant celebrations in the country.

What are the Guadalupan festivities?

The Guadalupan festivities are one of the most important traditions in Mexico. They are celebrated in honor of the Virgin of Guadalupe and commemorate her appearance to Saint Juan Diego on Tepeyac Hill in 1531. Every year, millions of Mexicans honor the Virgin with pilgrimages, masses, and processions that demonstrate their profound faith and devotion to her.

In Puerto Vallarta, the Guadalupan festivities take on a special significance, thanks to the unique atmosphere of this location, between the sea and the mountains, providing a perfect setting for this celebration. For twelve days, the streets come alive with parades, music, traditional dances, and religious acts. It’s a spectacle that combines the sacred with the festive, inviting everyone to immerse themselves in Mexican culture.

The pilgrimage: the heart of the Guadalupan festivities

One of the most anticipated moments of the feast of the Virgin of Guadalupe is the pilgrimage. This procession symbolizes faith, devotion, and is performed as an act of homage to the Virgin. From the early hours of the morning, people gather and throughout the day, until nightfall, groups of people can be seen walking the streets of Puerto Vallarta carrying images of the Virgin of Guadalupe, flowers, candles, and singing in her honor.

The pilgrimage route

The pilgrimage starts from various points in the city, but the end of the journey is always the same: the parish of Our Lady of Guadalupe, located in the historic center of Puerto Vallarta. The procession route is decorated with floral arches, and people organize themselves into representative groups from different guilds, such as merchants, fishermen, etc. During the procession, mariachi music dedicated to the Virgin can be heard.

Days of greater attendance

Although the Guadalupan festivities are celebrated over 12 days, certain dates stand out for the greater number of people and the intensity of the celebrations. December 11 and 12 are the most important days. On the night of the 11th, the serenade to the Virgin of Guadalupe takes place, a moment full of emotion and magic, culminating with fireworks. On December 12, the Day of the Virgin, the most attended masses are celebrated, and the largest pilgrimage heads to the parish.

Parish of Our Lady of Guadalupe: the heart of the celebration

We cannot talk about the Guadalupan festivities in Puerto Vallarta without mentioning the parish of Our Lady of Guadalupe. It’s an iconic temple, characterized by a wrought-iron crown atop its tower. This site is the central point of all religious activities during this festivity.

Since the 1950s, the parish of Our Lady of Guadalupe has witnessed numerous pilgrimages and ceremonies dedicated to the Virgin of Guadalupe, becoming a symbol of culture and faith in Puerto Vallarta.

During the festival days, the parish is decorated with flowers, lights, and religious symbols. The church doors are open all day to receive the faithful who come to pay tribute to the Virgin. The mass on December 12 is one of the most anticipated moments, where hundreds of people gather to express their devotion.

Serenade to the Virgin of Guadalupe: a magical night

One of the most beautiful traditions of the Guadalupan festivities is the serenade to the Virgin of Guadalupe. On the night of December 11, different local musicians and mariachis gather in front of the parish of Our Lady of Guadalupe to dedicate songs to the Virgin. It is an especially emotional moment for both locals and visitors, as people can witness the expressions of love and gratitude towards this figure. Tourists who have the opportunity to witness this tradition are often amazed by the spiritual and cultural blend, with many becoming moved by the chance to participate in this tradition.

The impact of the Virgin of Guadalupe on Mexican culture

The Virgin of Guadalupe is not only a religious symbol but also one of the emblems of Mexican identity. Since her appearance, she has been considered the spiritual mother of Mexico and the protector of its people. The image of the Virgin of Guadalupe has not only established itself in Mexico but has also become an icon that unites millions worldwide.

In Puerto Vallarta, the devotion to the Virgin of Guadalupe is felt in every corner, especially during the Guadalupan festivities. It is a time when the values of faith, family unity, and respect for traditions are intensely lived. The city streets fill with a special energy during these days, as the pilgrimage and religious acts invite reflection on the meaning of faith in the lives of Mexicans.

The Guadalupan festivities in Puerto Vallarta are an opportunity for locals and tourists to unite in a celebration that showcases the best of Mexican tradition: its music, its art, its devotion, and its hospitality. It is an experience that transcends the religious, inviting everyone to be part of something greater, to feel connected to a community, and to engage with the traditional essence of Mexico.

Celebrate the Day of the Dead in Cancun and Huatulco

Celebrate the Day of the Dead in Cancun and Huatulco

The Day of the Dead is one of the most important celebrations in Mexico. It is a holiday that blends pre-Hispanic traditions with elements of Catholicism, aiming to honor loved ones who are no longer with us. It is a highly visual celebration, as streets and public spaces are transformed into colorful and lively altars.
Although the Day of the Dead is celebrated throughout Mexico, each region adds its own unique touch. In this blog, we’ll explore the celebrations in Cancún and Huatulco.

Day of the Dead in Cancún: Tradition and Modernity in a Caribbean Paradise

Cancún is globally recognized for its stunning white-sand beaches and crystal-clear waters. During the Day of the Dead, Cancún showcases a mix of tradition and modernity, as both locals and tourists come together to enjoy parades, altars, and above all, celebrate the lives of those who have passed on. This blend of culture makes it an ideal destination for a unique experience, unlike any other.

Las Palapas Park: The Heart of Tradition

One of the most important places in Cancún for celebrating the Day of the Dead is Las Palapas Park. Located in the heart of the city, the park comes alive during this holiday with cultural events, live music, and the famous Catrina parades. For those unfamiliar with catrinas, these skeletal figures, often dressed in late 19th or early 20th-century attire and adorned hats, are an essential symbol of this festival. As previously mentioned, in Las Palapas Park, you’ll have the chance to see many catrinas parading. Additionally, altars are set up here for the departed, where locals place offerings like candles and marigold flowers.

Beyond the catrina parades, Las Palapas Park offers traditional Mexican food, from tamales to atole. Without a doubt, it’s a must-visit spot to truly feel the Day of the Dead spirit in Cancún.

Los Olivos Municipal Cemetery: A Journey Through History

The Los Olivos Municipal Cemetery is one of Cancún's oldest cemeteries. During the Day of the Dead festivities, it becomes a sacred place where families gather to honor their deceased loved ones. On the night of November 1st, graves are decorated with marigolds and candles, creating a truly moving atmosphere. Visitors to the cemetery can walk among the graves, view the elaborate altars, and even hear musicians play songs favored by the departed.

Visiting Los Olivos Cemetery during the Day of the Dead will connect you to Cancún’s historical and traditional side.

Xcaret Cancún: A Complete Cultural Experience

If you’re looking for a more immersive experience, you’ll find Xcaret Cancún, which hosts the Festival of Life and Death Traditions. Held from October 30 to November 2, the theme park recreates Day of the Dead traditions with altars, theatrical presentations, dance, and music. All of this takes place in a setting filled with natural beauty and architectural charm.
Xcaret is an ideal place to learn about the history behind the Day of the Dead while enjoying the park's scenery. The festival celebrated in Xcaret notably differs in that it not only celebrates death but also offers a tribute to life, with activities designed to help visitors understand the importance of the celebration.

Mercado 23: Traditions Around Every Corner

A must-visit destination during the Day of the Dead in Cancún is Mercado 23. This is one of the city's most traditional markets, where you can find everything you need for a Day of the Dead altar, from incense to candles, and of course, the unmistakable marigold flowers. The market’s authentic atmosphere and local products make it the perfect place to immerse yourself in Mexican culture.
Within Mercado 23, you’ll also find traditional foods served during this holiday, like pan de muerto, a sweet bread symbolizing life and death. We recommend pairing it with hot chocolate, another traditional beverage during this season that you'll love.

Day of the Dead in Huatulco: Nature and Tradition on the Oaxacan Coast

Huatulco, located on Mexico's Pacific coast, is renowned for its natural beauty, boasting nine breathtaking bays. During the Day of the Dead, this tourist destination fills with music, color, and life as local traditions take center stage. Huatulco stands out as a unique place to celebrate the Day of the Dead, blending its natural wealth—beaches, jungles, and mountains—with ancestral traditions to create an authentic and vibrant experience that connects visitors to the spirit of this holiday.

La Crucecita Central Park: The Soul of Huatulco

A prime location for celebrating the Day of the Dead is La Crucecita Central Park. Located in the heart of Huatulco, it becomes the gathering place for festivities. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy Oaxacan cuisine while experiencing this holiday, as the park is surrounded by local shops and restaurants. During the Day of the Dead, you can see impressive altars dedicated to loved ones and streets filled with parades, dancing, and music.

La Crucecita Central Park is the heart of the festivities in Huatulco, where locals and tourists come to honor the dead and celebrate life with respect and joy. The park also hosts activities such as catrina-making workshops.

Huatulco Organic Market: The Flavors and Colors of the Day of the Dead

If you enjoy discovering local flavors, a visit to the Huatulco Organic Market is essential. Held on weekends, this market offers fresh, organic products. During the Day of the Dead, the market becomes even more colorful, featuring products related to the holiday, such as fruits and essential ingredients for seasonal dishes, as well as the traditional marigold flowers. Additionally, you’ll find local crafts, perfect for taking home a special keepsake from this wonderful celebration.

October festivals that celebrate beer

October festivals that celebrate beer

Every year, between the last days of September and the first weeks of October, a festival that brings German traditions and culture to life takes place: the Oktoberfest. Throughout its more than 200 years of existence, this festival has attracted millions of people from all over the world, becoming a global celebration.

Originally from Munich, Germany, it is a season in which they celebrate and spread Bavarian culture: beer, food and traditional music. Over the years, this celebration has crossed borders and is commemorated in numerous cities around the world, including Miami.

In this article we explore the history of Oktoberfest, how you can enjoy this festival and we give you an accommodation option so you can participate in the oldest Oktoberfest in Florida.

Origins and Meaning of Oktoberfest

Oktoberfest first occurred in 1810 to commemorate the marriage of Prince Ludwig of Bavaria to Princess Therese of Saxony-Hildburghausen. The initial celebration included a horse race, which took place in the meadows outside of Munich, an area now known as the "Theresienwiese" in honor of the princess.

Over the years, the event evolved into a 16-to-18-day festivity between September and October, centered on Bavarian beer, traditional food, live music, and traditional clothing such as lederhosen (leather pants) and dirndl (traditional dress).

At the heart of Oktoberfest are the large beer tents (or “bierhallen”) set up in Munich, where local breweries serve up large mugs of beer accompanied by traditional dishes such as pretzels, sausages, sauerkraut, and schweinshaxe (pork knuckle).

A Global Celebration: Bavarian Fest in Miami

While Oktoberfest has its roots in Munich, it has crossed borders and is celebrated in many cities around the world, keeping the essence of Bavarian culture alive. From large cities like Berlin, London, and New York to small towns, communities have adopted this holiday to celebrate German heritage and enjoy the beer and food that make Oktoberfest so special.

Miami, a city known for its cultural diversity and ability to host large celebrations, is no slouch when it comes to celebrating Oktoberfest. Each year, Miami hosts several celebrations in honor of this German tradition, where locals and tourists alike can enjoy.

One of the most notable events is the one hosted by the German American Social Club, which has been taking place in Miami for over 60 years. This is one of the oldest and most authentic events of its kind in the United States, combining the tradition of Oktoberfest with the Miami lifestyle.

This year, on the weekends of October 11-13 and 18-20, the club will host a party filled with imported German beer, authentic Bavarian food, and live music with traditional bands playing polkas, marches, and other typical German genres.

In addition, you can find bars and restaurants around the city joining in the celebration. Venues such as The Butcher Shop and Fritz & Franz Bierhaus also offer Oktoberfest-themed events, with beer promotions, mug-raising contests, and special menus.

Make the most of Oktoberfest

  • Try local craft beers alongside imported ones: In addition to traditional German brands, many events in Miami feature local breweries releasing special editions inspired by Oktoberfest.
  • Dress in Bavarian style: While not required, many attendees dress in traditional lederhosen and dirndl to fully immerse themselves in the Oktoberfest atmosphere.
  • Enjoy the music and contests: Don't miss the performances by traditional music bands and beer stein lifting competitions, which are an essential part of the entertainment.

Celebrating Oktoberfest in Miami is a unique opportunity to enjoy a centuries-old tradition while experiencing the city's tropical and multicultural energy. One lodging option in this beautiful destination is Park Royal Miami Beach, located in a residential area close to the beach. Designed for relaxation, you can enjoy its outdoor pool or relax on its solarium terrace.

Oktoberfest is much more than just a beer festival; it is a celebration of Bavarian culture that has transcended borders. In Miami, the fusion of German traditions with the energy and spirit of the Caribbean offers a unique experience that will allow you to enjoy the best of both worlds. If you are in the city in October, do not miss the opportunity to experience this iconic festival.

Small Actions, Big differences: Park Royal Hotels & Resorts joins International Coastal Cleanup Day

Small Actions, Big differences: Park Royal Hotels & Resorts joins International Coastal Cleanup Day

Oceans cover more than 70% of our planet. Within their depths resides an immense variety of organisms that weave a network of life essential for human well-being. These bodies of water not only regulate extreme climates but also produce at least 50% of the oxygen we breathe, thanks to the photosynthesis of phytoplankton. Not to mention, the fish from the oceans are a vital food source for millions of people. But despite their grandeur, oceans face a serious threat: pollutants such as chemicals, oil, and plastic waste from beaches jeopardize their conservation. To understand the magnitude of the problem, it is enough to note that in Mexico alone, there are 11,122 kilometers of coastlines along the Caribbean, Pacific, and Gulf of Mexico, which daily accumulate thousands of plastic wastes. Considering this reality, Park Royal Hotels & Resorts is aware of the urgency to protect our oceans; that’s why we want to share with you an international day dedicated to raising awareness about marine life care through beach and coastline cleanups. We will tell you how this day reflects our commitment to sustainability practices in our resorts and how you can join us to create a greener future and ensure a better tomorrow for our oceans.

Making a Difference: International Coastal Cleanup Day

In 1986, the first edition of International Coastal Cleanup Day was held by Ocean Conservancy (a non-profit organization dedicated to ocean and marine life protection) in response to the excessive use of disposable plastics. This event, now celebrated annually on the third Saturday of September, has become a key for conservation and raising awareness about the negative impact of disposable plastics on marine species such as turtles, fish, and reefs. To date, Ocean Conservancy continues to fight to keep plastic pollution at bay, stating: “Every bottle, every straw, every piece of trash you clean up can lead to a cleaner, healthier ocean”. With this in mind, on September 21, 2024, International Coastal Cleanup Day will be celebrated, and at Park Royal Hotels & Resorts, we reaffirm our commitment to sustainable actions that have a significant impact on our planet, starting with the beaches.

Leaving a positive impact

At Park Royal Hotels & Resorts, we understand the importance of caring for our oceans and beaches, so we reaffirm our commitment to this cause through the Royal Planet sustainability pillar and align with the Global Tourism Plastics Initiative (GTPI), which focuses on reducing single-use plastics. That’s why we have implemented amenity dispensers in every room and installed water dispensers and reusable bottles. These actions have resulted in saving 346,675 water bottles just in the first half of 2024, and best of all, you were part of this change. But our efforts to prevent beach pollution don’t stop there; the Funtastic Team organizes beach clean-up events in which you can participate, not only on International Coastal Cleanup Day but continuously. In this way, you are not only contributing to beach care but also helping marine fauna, such as turtles, that are affected by disposable plastic waste.

Where to Clean Beaches

If you are interested in participating in beach cleanups or other sustainable activities after learning about Royal Planet's sustainable initiatives', we recommend three beaches where you can vacation responsibly with Park Royal Hotels & Resorts.

Playa Gaviota Azul: Located along the Caribbean waters, this beach is very popular for its white, soft sand and relaxed atmosphere. Volunteers from Cancun Sailing often gather to collect plastics along the hotel zone. You can join them to be part of the change and then relax the rest of the day on our comfortable loungers at Grand Park Royal Cancun, our iconic resort just a short walk away.

Playas de Cozumel: On this small island, you can volunteer with Brigada Ixpalbarco, a family project focused on cleaning beaches in areas where sea turtles' nest. Later, you can connect with the Caribbean at the comfort of Grand Park Royal Cozumel, which offers exclusive beach access and is very close to the Paraíso coral reef.

Bahías de Huatulco: The Huatulco Clean Beaches Committee constantly organizes sustainable activities that improve the quality of Huatulco’s beaches. You can get in touch with them to learn about their waste collection activities and then enjoy our All-Inclusive Park Royal Beach Huatulco resort with a spectacular view of Tangolunda Bay.

Beaches and oceans need our help to stay clean and healthy. What better way to contribute than staying at a place that promotes responsible tourism and environmental care. Stay with Park Royal Hotels & Resorts and let’s make a difference together. We look forward to you enjoying an unforgettable stay.

Discover “El Cielo” Cozumel

Have you ever dreamed of a place where the water is so clear that you can see starfish through the water as if they were stars in the sky? You can experience this at “El Cielo” beach in Cozumel, which receives its name precisely for this reason (“El Cielo” means “the Sky”). This little piece of paradise is located on the island of Cozumel, Mexico, and is a destination that you have to visit if you love the sea, snorkeling and nature. So keep reading because we are going to tell you all about this incredible place and why you should start planning your trip right now.

What is “El Cielo” Cozumel?

“El Cielo” Cozumel is a famous beach that owes its name to its crystal clear waters, as well as the number of starfish visible there. As mentioned previously, the name is due to the fact that, when looking at the seabed, it seems that you are seeing a sky full of stars. It is perfect for snorkeling and observing marine life in all its splendor.

It is a sandbank where you have the possibility of swimming and snorkeling. The abundant marine life in the place has made this destination one of the essential destinations to visit in the Mexican Caribbean.

“El Cielo” Tour in Cozumel

What does the tour include?

Taking an “El Cielo” tour in Cozumel is the best way to experience everything this place has to offer you. Most tours include boat travel, snorkeling equipment, drinks, and expert guides to take you to the best spots. Typically, tours depart from Cozumel's main pier or from nearby beaches such as Playa Palancar. Depending on the tour you choose, you may also have the opportunity to visit other nearby sites, such as the Colombia Reef or the Palancar Reef.

Tours typically last around 4 to 5 hours, giving you plenty of time to explore, swim, snorkel, and simply enjoy the surroundings. Some tours include lunch or snacks on board, which makes the experience even more enjoyable.

Below we leave you some recommendations for the tour:

  • Book in advance: Tours to “El Cielo” are very popular, especially in high season, so be sure to reserve your spot early so you don't have to worry.
  • Wear biodegradable sunscreen: To protect the delicate marine ecosystem, it is important to use sunscreen that does not harm corals or marine life.
  • Hydrate well: Although you will be surrounded by water, the sun and physical activity can quickly cause dehydration. Carry enough water to stay hydrated.
  • Respect marine life: Enjoy the environment without touching or disturbing marine creatures. This way, you will help keep their habitat just as you found it.

“El Cielo” Beach in Cozumel

Beach Features

“El Cielo” beach has everything you want in a Caribbean environment: fine white sand, shallow and crystal-clear waters, as well as a calm atmosphere that invites you to relax. It is not a beach where you will find big waves, which makes it perfect for swimming and snorkeling. The visibility in the water is impressive, allowing you to clearly see the seabed and all the life it houses.

Below we leave you a compilation of activities that you can enjoy on “El Cielo” beach in Cozumel.

  • Swim and explore: Calm waters are ideal for swimming. You can bring your own diving goggles and enjoy exploring on your own.
  • Underwater photography: If you have a waterproof camera or a special cell phone case, “El Cielo” is the perfect place to take impressive photos of the underwater world.

How to get to “El Cielo” beach?

To get to “El Cielo” beach in Cozumel, the best option is to take a boat tour. Most tours depart from the main pier in San Miguel de Cozumel, but you can also find departures from other beaches such as Playa Palancar. The boat trip usually lasts about 30-45 minutes, depending on your starting point. Some companies also offer packages that include transportation from your hotel to the tour departure point.

There is also the option where you can rent a boat and go to “El Cielo” yourself, although this option is usually more expensive compared to purchasing a tour. It is important to remember that “El Cielo” is a protected area, so you need to follow local regulations to preserve it.

Snorkeling in “El Cielo”

Snorkeling in “El Cielo” Cozumel is one of the best experiences you can have on the island and is partly one of the biggest attractions why people come to this place. The clear waters and abundant marine life make it an ideal place for this activity. If you practice snorkeling, you will have the opportunity to see marine life, such as the famous starfish, colorful fish, manta rays and even sea turtles.

Follow these recommendations for an ideal snorkeling experience:

  • Use appropriate equipment: Regarding snorkeling equipment, you have two options. If you are an amateur and have your own snorkeling equipment, you can bring it and use it. On the other hand, the most convenient option is to rent the equipment through the tour.
  • Don't disturb marine life: Although it may be tempting, touching starfish, as well as any other marine organism, can damage them and therefore put their preservation at risk. Enjoy watching them, but don't interfere with their surroundings.
  • Follow the guide's instructions: The guides know the best places and will give you tips to make the most of your time in the water.

Puerto Rican Food: Discover the best restaurants in Humacao

Puerto Rican Food: Discover the best restaurants in Humacao

Puerto Rican food is a fusion of flavors that references the rich history and culture of the island. In this blog, we will take you on a gastronomic journey through the best restaurants in Humacao, a charming municipality on the east coast of Puerto Rico, where you will discover the most important dishes of the region's typical food.

Introduction to Puerto Rican food

Puerto Rican food is a mix of Taíno, African, Spanish and American influences. Each dish tells a story, combining native ingredients with techniques and flavors brought by colonizers and other visitors. This diversity has given rise to a gastronomy rich in spices, colors and textures, which has become a pillar of Puerto Rico's cultural identity.

One of the most distinctive aspects of Puerto Rican food is its ability to make anyone feel at home. The aromas of good rice with beans, the crunch of freshly fried tostones, or the warmth of a chicken asopao on a rainy day are experiences that remain in the memory of those who visit the island.

Typical Puerto Rican food that you should try

When visiting Puerto Rico, it is essential to try some of the most representative dishes of its cuisine. Below, we compile some of these:

Mofongo

Mofongo is perhaps the best-known dish of Puerto Rican food. It is made from fried green plantains that are mashed with garlic, olive oil and chicharrones (crispy pieces of pork). This mixture is shaped into a sphere or cone and can be filled with seafood, chicken, beef or pork. Mofongo is versatile, as it can be enjoyed as a main dish or accompaniment, and its intense flavor makes it an essential dish that you must try.

Tembleque

Tembleque is a traditional Puerto Rican dessert that is prepared mainly with coconut milk, sugar, cinnamon and cornstarch. This dessert is characterized by its soft and shaky texture (hence its name; tembleque means wobbly), and its sweet flavor. It is served cold, so it is a perfect option for hot Caribbean days. It can be combined with different dishes, as it is a refreshing and delicious ending to any meal.

Tostones

Tostones are one of the best-known side dishes in Puerto Rico. These are prepared by cutting green bananas into slices, which are then fried, smashed and fried again until they are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Tostones are usually served with a variety of sauces and are the perfect accompaniment to many main dishes, providing a crunchy and tasty touch.

Rice with beans

Rice with beans is an essential dish in the daily diet of Puerto Ricans. It consists of white rice accompanied by beans stewed with sofrito, garlic, peppers and other spices. It is a very nutritious dish, and is served both on everyday occasions and at special celebrations. Each family has their own way of making it, making it a dish full of variations.

Tripleta

The tripleta is a sandwich from Puerto Rico, famous for the flavor of its marinade and the different variations of meat. This sandwich has three types of meat: ham, chicken breast and beef, all served on soft bread and accompanied by French fries, lettuce, tomato and a variety of sauces, the most commonly used being ketchup and mayonnaise. The tripleta is a sandwich that has an audience of all ages, from children to adults. Its consumption is ideal for both a filling lunch and a quick dinner.

Chicken Asopao

Chicken asopao is a thick stew similar to a rice soup, but more consistent. It is prepared with chicken, rice, vegetables and a mixture of spices that include sofrito, garlic, and seasoning. This dish is especially popular on rainy days, as it gives a warmth and comfort that is difficult to match. It is a true gem of Puerto Rican food.

Midsummer rituals vary from region to region, but some of the most common include:
  • Lighting bonfires: it is one of the oldest traditions, as it represents the light of the sun and its power to overcome darkness.
  • Collecting herbs and flowers: they are believed to have special healing properties at this time of year. Making flower crowns and wearing them is a popular custom.
  • Dances and songs: Midsummer celebrations are full of music and dance; either around the "midsommarstång" or "maypole", a pole decorated with flowers and leaves, while singing traditional songs.
  • Bathing in the sea: in some cultures, it is believed that bathing in the sea, lakes and rivers purifies and renews energy.

Family summer activities in Cancun

Parties are celebrated all over the world during this season, as it is part of the spirit of summer. In addition, it coincides with a great period of rest in schools and some work sectors.

If you are enjoying summer in the Mexican Caribbean, you will be able to live at its peak this season. At Park Royal Beach Cancún we will celebrate our Midsummer Festival on August 15th. To experience it in the best way, the Funtastic Team has designed an entertainment program that will surprise children and adults.

Throughout the different editions of our Midsummer Festival, some of the most applauded activities are those that mix sports and fun, because they promote family closeness. With this idea, we invite you to take a Zumba class on the beach or immerse yourself in a fierce volleyball game.

You will also find reasons for family coexistence during activities related to dance and crafts. The team prepared a batucada to spread the summer spirit to all our guests; With these Latin rhythms you can enjoy a foam party. For little ones who prefer quieter activities, making flower crowns to decorate their hair is another of our options.

At night, for the older ones, a neon party under the light of the crescent moon will fill them with energy to give rise to a spectacular end of the year.

If you are also looking to get to know the destination, the end of summer is a festive time in Cancun, that offers a wide range of activities and events. You will find several electronic music festivals that attract international DJs.

Viva Mexico and Long Live Tequila!

Viva Mexico and Long Live Tequila!

July 24th is a special date for all tequila lovers because it’s International Tequila Day. This drink, originating from Mexico, is one of the most representative symbols of Mexican culture and has a rich history worth sharing.

A brief history of tequila

Tequila is made from blue agave, a succulent plant that grows in the Tequila region of Jalisco, Mexico. The origins of this drink date back to pre-Hispanic times when the Aztecs fermented a beverage called pulque from various species of agave. However, the true predecessor of modern tequila appeared with the arrival of the Spaniards in the 16th century, when the Spanish arrived and introduced distillation techniques, creating a stronger, refined drink from agave.

Over the centuries, tequila production process has been perfected. In the 17th century, the first formal distilleries were established in Jalisco. By the early 19th century, tequila began to gain popularity in other parts of Mexico, and later, in the 20th century, it was exported to the United States and other countries.

In 1974, Mexico got the designation of origin for tequila, meaning that only tequila produced in certain regions of Mexico can bear this name. This measure was crucial to protect the authenticity and quality of tequila, establishing strict production standards and ensuring that only blue agave from designated regions is used.

The properties of tequila

Tequila is not only known for its distinctive flavor and its ability to liven up any party but also for its unique properties. It is said that tequila, in moderation, has certain health benefits. It can aid digestion, and some studies suggest that it may have probiotic and anti-inflammatory properties.

The popularity of tequila worldwide

Tequila has crossed borders and has become one of the most popular alcoholic drinks in the world. Its versatility makes it ideal for being enjoyed neat, in a shot, or as a base for a wide variety of tequila cocktails.

One of the most famous cocktails is the Margarita, a delicious mix of tequila, lime juice, and orange liqueur, served in a glass with a salted rim. The Margarita has gained worldwide popularity, becoming a classic in bars and restaurants. It is said that this cocktail was invented in the 1930s or 1940s, although its exact origin is uncertain. One of the most popular stories suggests it was created by a bartender in honor of a dancer named Margarita.

Besides the Margarita, tequila is used in other popular cocktails such as the Tequila Sunrise, Paloma, and Tequini, a version of the Martini. This versatility has contributed to its global popularity, as it adapts to different tastes and occasions.

Mexican national holidays and tequila

With the arrival of Mexican National Holidays, tequila plays a crucial role in the celebrations. These festivities, which commemorate Mexico's independence, are a perfect opportunity to enjoy Mexican culture at its best. During this time, tequila becomes the star of the party, accompanying typical foods, dances, and traditional music.

Activities on International Tequila Day

For those who want to celebrate International Tequila Day in a special way, our hotels offer a variety of unique activities. For example, Grand Park Royal Cancún and Grand Park Royal Cozumel have prepared a series of events including tequila cocktail classes, margarita tastings, and Mexican barbecues by the pool.

At Grand Park Royal Puerto Vallarta, guests can enjoy a margarita tasting and a 'cantaritos' contest, while Park Royal Beach Cancún offers a tequila tasting and a fun tequila dance.

International Tequila Day is an excellent occasion to honor one of Mexico's most iconic drinks. Whether you prefer to enjoy it neat, in a cocktail, or as part of a larger celebration during the National Holidays, tequila is undoubtedly a drink that brings people together and celebrates Mexico's rich culture and tradition. So, cheers! And enjoy a good tequila.

Wedding ceremonies with the sea as decoration Celebrate your wedding with a different ritual!

Getting ready for your special day can be either an enjoyable experience or a never-ending list of things to do before you get to the long-awaited day. As the dates get closer, we know that you may change your mind from one moment to the next and incorporate new activities to your big day, and since finding the best wedding rituals can also be a long chore, we've prepared a special post that will take a load off your mind when finding that one ceremony you didn't know existed.

Sand ceremony on Cancun's beaches

If you have decided the beach as your wedding destination, then there is a special ritual perfect for such scenarios, and of course, we are referring to the sand ceremony that consists of mixing colored sand in a wide and deep container.

This ritual symbolizes eternal union, because when the grains of sand of different colors come together, the visual effect that it produces is multichromatic and difficult for the human eye to separate.

A very beautiful ritual!

Red thread ritual in Cozumel

"An invisible red thread connects those who are meant to be together, no matter the time, place or circumstances. The red thread can be stretched, contracted or tangled, but never broken", these are the words with which many have sworn to their soulmate, eternal love.

The ritual of the red thread is a Japanese tradition that claims that an invisible red thread unites two people who are meant to be together. This thread, according to the legend and ritual, should tie on the couple's little finger, symbolizing a special eternal and unbreakable bond, as the little finger is supposed to connect to an artery of the heart.

Hand-joining ceremony on the beach

This Celtic ritual is one of the favorites of couples who have their wedding on the beach because of the special colorful effect created by the ribbons that are entangled in the lover's hands.

The only thing you will need to do this ceremony are ribbons of different colors that you and your partner will entangle in each other's hands, symbolizing the eternal union. Remember to prepare your vows and make this ritual a customized one.

If you still haven't chosen the final place where you will say "I do", remember that Park Love, our wedding and social events service, has a special option for you in the best beaches of Mexico that, will make your big day a memorable one.

Connect with nature: honeymoon with eco-romantic destinations

Connect with nature: honeymoon with eco-romantic destinations

Pacific beach destinations are very popular among couples looking to celebrate their honeymoon due to their calm waters, golden sandy beaches, and rich marine and terrestrial diversity. Owing to high visitor numbers, these ecosystems have suffered significant deterioration over the years, especially because of excessive plastic use. Aware of this situation, at Park Royal Hotels & Resorts we join this effort through our Royal Planet sustainability commitment. So, if you're planning a visit one of these beautiful Pacific beaches for your honeymoon and wish to stay at a resort that not only offers you memorable days of relaxation but also has a strong commitment to caring for the planet, we invite you to discover how Royal Planet is making a difference with sustainable measures and activities that benefit both the environment and our guests. guests.

Let's be the difference

According to the United Nations, every sixty seconds, a million plastic bottles are used, and each year, approximately 5 trillion disposable plastic bags end up in the ocean, threatening the lives of thousands of marine species. In response, the United Nations General Assembly declared July 3rd as International Plastic Bag Free Day, aiming to raise awareness about the negative environmental impacts of disposable plastics. At Park Royal Hotels & Resorts we support these awareness measures by significantly reducing the use of single-use plastics in both our rooms and restaurants. Additionally, we provide reusable water dispensers and thermoses that guests can use repeatedly.

However, our commitment goes beyond these efforts. At Park Royal Hotels & Resorts, we also aim to educate our guests to actively participate in our actions to conserve the planet. Therefore, our entertainment team has developed sustainable entertainment activities, including crafting from recycled materials, beach clean-ups, and even the relocation of sea turtle eggs— a species severely affected by plastic waste in the ocean, predators, and human activities. Regardless of the activity chosen to enjoy time as a couple, at Park Royal Hotels & Resorts, we understand that every action counts in building a better world.

Luckily for visitors, getting to Playa Negra is easy, since you only have to follow a small path, seeing how the sand transforms from white to black as we get closer. Likewise, the views offered by the large rock formations found near the beach are not to be missed.

This beach offers a calm and serene environment where you can enjoy nature in its wildest state. Precisely for this reason, this beach does not have facilities of any kind, so we recommend staying well hydrated and protected at all times, so it is important to bring water, snacks, sunscreen and insect repellent during your visit.

Visitors can explore the different rooms of the fort, which include former prison cells, ammunition warehouses, and strategically placed observation platforms that offer panoramic views of the island and its surroundings. Additionally, the fort hosts cultural events and educational activities that provide an enriching experience for the entire family.

Food in Mexico

Mexican cuisine is a fusion of indigenous and colonial influences that dates back centuries. With fresh ingredients and a unique combination of flavors, Mexican food is internationally recognized for its diversity and authenticity. Each bite of the tacos and tamales tells a story of tradition and passion for gastronomy.

The rich Mexican cuisine has been enriched over the centuries by various cultural influences, such as Spanish, French and African, which have added a vibrant touch to our traditional dishes during the colonial era.

Bees, and experiences to care for the environment Royal Planet shares

Bees, and experiences to care for the environment Royal Planet shares

When in 2021 we established Royal Planet, our sustainability pillar at Park Royal Hotels & Resorts, we were clear that part of our goal would be to enhance our guests' experience by offering them amenities and activities focused on environmental conservation, fair trade and other benefits that have been gradually added to this pillar.

Another of the reasons why we started this ambitious project was due to the appeal of the United Nations which in 2015, when presenting the objectives of the 2030 agenda , named 17 different goals to be achieved in a period of 15 years.

What are the 17 United Nations goals in its 2030 agenda?

  1. End of poverty

  2. Zero hunger

  3. Health and welfare

  4. Quality education

  5. Gender equality

  6. Clean water and sanitation

  7. Affordable and clean energy

  8. Decent work and economic growth

  9. Industry, innovation and infrastructure

  10. Reducing inequalities

  11. Sustainable cities and communities

  12. Responsible production and consumption

  13. Climate action

  14. Underwater life

  15. Life of terrestrial ecosystems

  16. Peace, justice and strong institutions

  17. Partnerships to achieve the goals

During the time that Royal Planet has operated within our hotels under the goals of the 2030 agenda we have managed working and consolidating concrete actions. An example of these actions is related to points 11 and 12, concerning support for sustainable communities, responsible production and consumption, respectively.

This has been possible thanks to the work and conservation of the melipona bee by the Muuch Kaab community and Park Royal Hotels & Resorts, but do you know why bees are so important to the world?

Read on to learn more.

Why are bees so important to the world?

  1. Because of their pollination process

Bees are key pollinators for many plants, including many food crops. Without bees, many plants would not be able to reproduce, which would lead to a significant decrease in food production.
  2. For their contribution to human nutrition

A large number of agricultural crops depend on bee pollination to produce fruits, vegetables and nuts. This has a direct impact on food security and the availability of food For people around the world
  3. For their economical role

Pollination by bees has significant economic value. Furthermore, the production of honey, wax and other bee products generates income for local communities too.
  4. For their contribution to the ecological balance

Bees are part of food chains. Their disappearance or decrease could have domino effects on ecosystems affecting other animal and plant species.

Which actions does Park Royal Hotels & Resorts take to conserve bees and the planet?

If you have stayed at our hotels in Mexico you may remember the small amenity bottles containing shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion, well, since 2023, this practice is behind as we replaced these bottles, made of single-use plastic, with dispensers!

But the only thing we did not replace were the high quality products made by the Mayan women's community Muuch Kaab, who as we mentioned before, elaborate their products from melipona bee honey, thanks to which the benefit occurs on both sides; they maintain the self-management of their communities , while we by acquiring their products, spoil our guests with the organic benefits of the honey.

On the other hand, and talking about improvements in your experience when arriving to your room at Grand Park Royal Cancun, Grand Park Royal Puerto Vallarta, Grand Park Royal Cozumel or Park Royal Beach Cancun, you will find 2 reusable thermos flasks that you can refill as many times as you want in the different water stations we have set up, which helps the planet to stop the massive production of water bottles.

When it comes to entertainment, our actions are not far behind, since our offer in this area has evolved.

A perfect example of this is what will happen during the next ECODAY, (June 5, 2024), in the different hotels of our chain. at Park Royal Beach Huatulco we will organize an eco-tour, in which we will visit a mangrove swamp where we will talk about its importance for the ecosystems and its conservation, while at Grand Park Royal Puerto Vallarta, we will carry out a small reforestation campaign with all those guests interested in environmental care. At Grand Park Royal Cozumel, we will make an incredible dream catcher made from recycled material.

If, like us, you are also committed to the planet, we invite you to get to know us and give us the opportunity to participate with you in all these small events. Our consumption decisions impact the planet. Let's live responsibly and coexist together in harmony.

The longest day of the year from Puerto Vallarta

The longest day of the year from Puerto Vallarta

Puerto Vallarta, with its coastal charm and rich Mexican culture, is the perfect setting to celebrate the summer solstice. In this beautiful Mexican Pacific destination, ancestral traditions intertwine with modernity, creating a unique atmosphere where spirituality and connection with nature are a fundamental part of the experience.

The summer solstice is the magical moment when the sun reaches its highest point in the sky and has been celebrated and revered by ancient cultures around the worldAmong these cultures are the Maya and the Huichol, whose traditions and beliefs deeply rooted in nature give them a deep respect for this celestial event.

For the Maya, one of the most advanced civilizations in Mesoamerica, the summer solstice marked the beginning of a new cycle in their sacred calendar. It was a time of celebration and reflection, when the sun god, Kinich Ahau, was honored and ceremonies were performed to attract fertility and abundance to the land. The Maya were masters in the observation of the stars, and the summer solstice was crucial in their world vision, as it marked the moment when the sun began its journey back to the south, symbolizing rebirth, and renewal.

On the other hand, The Huicholes , an indigenous people of Mexico known for their deep bond with nature and their sacred rituals with peyote, also attach great importance to the summer solstice. For the Huicholes, this event marks the moment when the sun reaches its maximum strength and energy, flooding the earth with its vital light. It is a moment of connection with the cosmos and of gratitude for the gifts received from mother earth.

Puerto Vallarta is marked by the influence of the pre-Hispanic peoples of the region, such as the Mayas. Although geographically distant, the Mayas shared with the Huicholes a deep reverence for the sun and its cycles.

Welcome the summer on beaches full of cosmic energy.

Today, this tourist destination attracts travelers from all over the world in search of sun, beach, and adventure. However, beyond its beautiful beaches and vibrant nightlife, offers a holistic experience that invites visitors to reconnect with themselves and the nature that surrounds them, this connection is evident in every corner.

For those who wish to immerse themselves in the magic of the summer solstice, Puerto Vallarta offers a unique opportunity. With its beautiful landscapes and rich culture, you can enjoy an extraordinary moment. You can make this a complete experience at Grand Park Royal Puerto Vallarta , which offers a variety of activities designed to connect body, mind, and spirit, from temazcal ceremonies to yoga classes at sunrise.

However, the highlight of these celebrations is undoubtedly the Summer Festival , an event that gathers guests in a celebration full of life, music, and fun. Now, if your thing is just to rest and live a summer solstice full of peace, Park Royal Homestay Los Tules Puerto Vallarta is the ideal place for you, since this magical complex with beautiful gardens invites you to have a special connection with nature.

Wellness: a lifestyle even on vacation

Wellness: a lifestyle even on vacation

In the hustle and bustle of daily life, we often forget the importance of taking care of our health and well-being. In response to these pressures, the concept of wellness was built as a lifestyle.

Achieving comprehensive well-being is one of the goals of more and more people. Since ancient Greece, the idea of a “healthy mind in a healthy body” was recognized. The pressures and speed of everyday dynamics can keep us from this path of plenitude; however, wellness offers us activities and dynamics To get back on it

On June 8th, an international event that seeks to spread this life proposal to more people takes place, Global Wellness Day ,Park Royal Hotels & Resorts will be part of it, to invite our guests to experience a wellness vacation. In this blog we tell you more about what will happen this day.

What does wellness mean and how is it achieved?

The concept of wellness began to be used in the United States around the seventies. It means an active process of awareness and decisions towards a healthy and full life. The The World Health Organization (WHO) defines it as “a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being, and not simply the absence of infirmity or disease.” .

The idea grew so much that today there is the Global Wellness Institute, which gives us another specific definition of this thought: “the active search for activities, options and lifestyles that lead to a state of comprehensive health.”

Now it is known as a path of constant search to achieve optimal health, a healthy balance between emotional and physical care, but without forcing it.

Global Wellness Day: integrating actions into daily life

Vacations offer us the perfect opportunity to disconnect from stress and adopt a more conscious approach to our well-being. Imagine starting your day with the soft sound of waves crashing on the shore, while you immerse yourself in a relaxing yoga session on the beach; or benefit from the first rays of sun to dance to the rhythm of tropical sounds in a Zumba class.

After a revitalizing morning, what better way to continue your day of wellness than with a relaxing walk? Not before having participated in some healthy food tasting and having refreshed yourself with a detox juice, or fresh seasonal fruits. During an idyllic seaside setting, you can allow yourself to let go of all thoughts and worries.

As the sun slowly slides across the sky, it's the perfect time to practice meditation by the sea. With the waves as a musical background, you can immerse yourself in a state of peace and tranquility, allowing your mind to free itself from worries and intrusive thoughts.

These experiences and more activities focused on care and well-being can be found at Park Royal Hotels & Resorts , which joins the international personal care movement on Global Wellness Day. By making wellness a lifestyle during your vacation, you not only give yourself moments of peace and relaxation, but you also invest in your long-term health and happiness.

Take care of our environment, love the planet

The environment in which we, as humans, develop is also part of this comprehensive well-being that wellness seek. A few days before Global Wellness Day, we commemorated the World Environment Day, on June 5th, a date on which we raise awareness of the importance of protecting the planet and its natural resources.
One way to connect with nature can be through a family beach cleaning day, to remind us of the importance of keeping its beauty as crystal clear as possible. Also, by learning how to grow a plant, and being part of the irrigation of an urban garden, the whole family will be able to feel one again with the earth and remember the importance of caring for it.

Caring for the environment and our own health is an element that, the earlier in life it is acquired as a habit, the more likely it will last throughout it. At Park Royal Hotels & Resorts we have prepared activities that can help create this awareness of well-being and care in the little ones. With recycling crafts, origami making or a recycled painting workshop, the Funtastic Team conveys the importance of these actions.

We invite you to learn more about this way of life that, we are sure, will lead you down paths of relaxation. Allow yourself to disconnect from stress and nourish your physical, mental, and emotional well-being. Prepare to return to your daily routine with a renewed sense of vitality and energy that can help you build new habits that your body, mind, and spirit will thank you for.
